Avatar Identity Study – Test Client

This build is part of an academic research project investigating how avatar identity may influence player decision-making in video games.

The study is being conducted as part of a final year dissertation at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Participants will play a short gameplay test and the game will automatically record gameplay events into a results log file.

How to Run the Test

1. Download the .zip file from this page
2. Extract the zip file to your Desktop or Documents folder (Do not run the game from inside the zip file as the results file may not be saved correctly.)
3. Open the extracted folder and run the game executable.
4. Play through the test until you reach the extraction point.

The session usually takes around 2–3 minutes to complete.

Submitting Your Results

After completing the test, the game will automatically generate a results log file containing gameplay data.

You can find this file in the following folder:

           └── Session_[date/time].txt

• The results text file generated by the game • Your signed consent form

Important Notes

• Your gameplay data will be anonymous and used only for academic research purposes.
• No personal data is collected by the game itself.
